Watch the following video overview of setting up Android Studio, creating and running a project, and a walkthrough of some Android Studio features.

Note

After setting up, take a look at Configure hardware acceleration for the Android Emulator to ensure your emulator is set up for acceleration.

If you experience mouse stuttering when running an Android Virtual Device (AVD), try deleting the AVD and creating a new one. When creating, check the Hardware GLES 2.0 graphics option (you can change it to Software GLES 2.0 if things get wonky).

Note

I recommend you watch the video at its recorded resolution (FHD - 1920x1080) if possible.
